Entergy New Orleans Earns 2020 ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year Award

NEW ORLEANS – Entergy New Orleans has received the 2020 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Award. The company was recognized by the Department of Energy for its outstanding efforts and partnership with residential customers through its Home Performance with the ENERGY STAR Program, part of the Energy Smart program administered by Entergy New Orleans on behalf of the New Orleans City Council.

This marks the third time Entergy New Orleans has been recognized by the Department of Energy for its efforts with Energy Smart, following awards in 2014 and 2016. 

“While customers’ needs and expectations change, we continue to reinvent our partnership with them to ensure our long-term success,” said David Ellis, president and CEO of Entergy New Orleans. “The Energy Smart Program is one of the flexible options we can offer individuals to help them use less energy and save money.”

Energy Smart offers comprehensive and innovative energy efficiency solutions to help Entergy New Orleans residential and business electric customers save energy and money by reducing the up-front cost of a variety of energy efficiency upgrades. The program works with participating partners, local trade allies and retailers, who help customers find new ways to save energy through installation or implementation of energy efficiency measures.  Programs for residential customers include comprehensive home assessments, A/C solutions, and retail lighting and appliance discount opportunities. Deeper energy efficiency measures like insulation, air sealing, and duct sealing are also available through Energy Smart.  For businesses, the Energy Smart Program provides cash incentives for completing energy efficiency improvements to existing and new buildings.

The ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Award recognizes ENERGY STAR partner businesses and organizations in good standing that demonstrate superior leadership, innovation, and commitment to environmental protection through energy efficiency and ENERGY STAR.
