Entergy Louisiana crews and contractors are working to improve the electric system for approximately 1,800 residents and businesses near Siegen Lane and Airline Highway in Baton Rouge.

Crews trimmed trees in the area and will be doing a mix of installing devices to protect the electric system from animal contact and replacing utility poles, crossarms, arresters, switches and other equipment.

The work, some of which is challenging due to electric equipment being in hard-to-reach alleys behind businesses, began in early October and is scheduled to be completed by the end of the year.

Together, ongoing reliability work and a strategic resilience plan would help protect the state against future weather events and support the local economy.
