Employee Volunteers Spread Holiday Cheer
01/07/2020
Approximately 30 Entergy employees volunteered to help Santa gift toys to more than 4,000 kids at the annual The Times-Picayune Doll and Toy Fund Gift Giving Event Dec. 21 in New Orleans.
Celebrating its 124th year, The Times-Picayune Doll and Toy Fund welcomes Christmas early for families in need throughout the New Orleans area. Entergy has been a lead sponsor of the fund since 2016.
Nearly 4,000 children, aged 12 and under, received toys at the 2019 event. Each kid got to pick two toys and received age-appropriate books, pencils and snacks.
Our employees volunteer and give back all year round, but the holidays are a special time. That's when our volunteer efforts go into high gear – from buying coats for kids in need to feeding the homeless to adopting families for the holidays.
