Entergy Arkansas Planned Outage Schedule for Wheatley Area July 26 & 27

07/23/2021

Entergy Arkansas will be performing work on distribution lines as well as other equipment in an area around the town of Wheatley on Monday and Tuesday, July 26 and 27 that will require an outage from 4 a.m. to noon both days.

About 200 customers will be impacted, including the Sweet Peas Truck Stop and other businesses to the north of the I-40. Crews will be upgrading conductors that span about 3.5 miles and 65 spans of wire (one span is the length of wire between two poles). This work will allow for business expansion and improved reliability.

Customers affected by the outage will receive communications from the company beforehand if they’ve registered to do so at MyEntergy.com. Below is the general area where the work will take place.

“We appreciate our customers’ patience,” said Customer Service Manager Ventrell Thompson. “We understand an outage is a disruption to their lives and can be a real hardship. Ultimately our goal is to prevent unplanned and unnecessary power outages, and the regular maintenance and necessary upgrades made to the grid help to ensure more safe and reliable power.”

Once power outage begins, customers will receive alerts if they have registered for those notices. Customers can also check the status entering their address on the outage map at https://www.etrviewoutage.com/map?state=AR.

While the power is out, customers are encouraged to limit opening of doors and windows to keep their home more comfortable and keep the refrigerator door closed to maintain a safe temperature.
