Company Supports National Engineers Week Event at UNO

Entergy helped nearly 1,600 students from 26 New Orleans-area schools get a feel for the excitement and challenges engineers face every day during a National Engineers Week celebration at the University of New Orleans.

Entergy was among 30 exhibitors participating in the event staged by Core Element, an organization that specializes in STEM-related professional development for teachers, and the American Society of Civil Engineers.

Among the Entergy exhibits was an interactive electrical circuit experiment that allowed students to test various materials for conductivity. Entergy's booth helped students learn more about parallel/series circuits, insulators/conductors, electrolysis and electrical field distribution equipment.

Another Entergy exhibit at the UNO event gave students a close-up look at electrical field distribution equipment.
