Entergy Mississippi storm update -- 2/17/25, 11 a.m.
02/17/2025

More than 91% of customers have been restored
With the positive weather outlook today, we anticipate continued progress in restoring power for the remaining customer outages sustained from the Saturday thunderstorms’ impact in Entergy Mississippi’s service territory. With over 91 percent of our customers restored, as of 10:30 this morning, approximately 2,600 customers are without power, down from a peak of 30,491 customer outages at 11:45 p.m. Saturday night.
Approximately 900 workers including linemen, damage assessors, vegetation workers and support personnel are working to provide restoration for these customer outages.
Damage assessment is also underway and we anticipate this restoration event to carry over until Tuesday evening for some customers, particularly in the more severely impacted areas. As of 6:00 p.m. yesterday, assessment is 93 percent complete. We’ve identified damages to 49 poles, 12 transformers, 32 cross arms, and more than 17.4 miles of downed wire.
As we continue to identify damaged equipment, restoration times will be updated. For updated estimated restoration times throughout the day, view our outage map at www.entergy.com/view-outages.
We continue to urge everyone to be safe. Stay away from downed power lines as well as flooded areas. Do not walk in standing water and do not venture into areas of debris since you may not be able to see a power line that could still be energized and dangerous.
