Entergy Mississippi storm update – 6/26/23, 4 p.m.
06/26/2023
More than half of customers restored within 24 hours of the storm’s initial impact
Entergy Mississippi continues to make significant progress after severe thunderstorms caused widespread outages Sunday night. As of 4:00 p.m., fewer than 12,000 customers are without power, down from a peak of approximately 25,000 outages Sunday night.
Most customers are expected to be restored by Tuesday evening, with the exception of some customers in the Cleveland, Jackson, Clinton, and Rankin County service areas. These customers should have power restored by Wednesday evening. Customers should check the View Outage map for an estimated restoration time for their area.
Entergy Mississippi began restoring power to customers as safely and quickly as possible after the storms passed. Our crews, along with additional contractors, will continue working diligently until all power is restored.
Entergy Mississippi reminds customers that if they live in a neighborhood that has had power restored but don’t have power at their home, they likely have electrical damage. If a customer is without power, they should check for damage to the electrical equipment attached to their home or business and contact an electrician to make repairs. For information about a home’s electrical equipment, visit entergynewsroom.com/storm-center/weatherhead/.
If electric equipment appears undamaged, text OUT to 36778 or call 1-800-9OUTAGE (800-968-8243). If damage has been repaired by a qualified electrician, call 1-800-ENTERGY (800-368-3749) to generate a service reconnection work order.
