Entergy Texas expects to have more than 75% of customers restored by the end of day Friday

As of 11 a.m. Friday, Entergy Texas restoration crews have restored electrical power to approximately 182,800 of the 252,460 customers impacted by Hurricane Beryl. The company anticipates having more than 75% of customers restored by the end of the day Friday and all customers who can safely take power restored no later than Monday, July 15.

More than 4,000 residents on Bolivar Peninsula were restored last night and the remaining customers should expect to have lights on by the end of day Friday.

Most of the remaining outages are in heavily damaged areas requiring more extensive repairs. Crews will continue to assess damage in hard-hit areas while safely restoring power as quickly as possible to communities.

Hurricane Beryl impacted more than 40 transmission lines and 50 substations in the Entergy Texas service area. Nine of the transmission lines and only one substation remains out of service. The last substation is expected to return to service on Friday, as well as six transmission lines. Distribution damage assessments are nearing completion as well.

While some customers could be restored sooner, the estimated restoration chart below shows the estimated restoration dates based on current damage assessments and weather forecasts.
