How Jennifer Culbertson Powers Life
04/10/2018
Jennifer Culbertson, administrative assistant III for Entergy Texas’ West Region Customer Service, has worked for Entergy for more than 14 years.
She takes ownership in everything she does – both good and bad.
“We are all human, and we sometimes make mistakes. More times than not, you can change a negative into a positive by taking ownership, reflecting on ways to do better and being open to suggestions from those around you,” she said. “Sometimes those informal, spontaneous coaching moments are the ones that stay with you forever and in turn are passed on to others by you.”
What powers Jennifer’s life are her loved ones – family, friends and work family, but especially her twin sons, James and Brett.
“They need me to come home safely to them every single day,” she said. “I am so blessed to work for a company where safety is of the utmost importance, because at the end of the day, we all just want to go home safely.”
Jennifer is an avid Entergy volunteer, taking on a variety of opportunities, from planning to running volunteer events.
“Last October, Entergy was the premier sponsor for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's ‘Light the Night Walk’ in Montgomery County, and it was truly a magical night,” she said. “I was able to bring my family out for the walk, and I just can't say enough about how proud I am of all of our employees who participated in the event.
“My children are learning the importance of giving back to their community through volunteerism, which is an essential value I want to pass on to them,” she said.
