Katie Buhler Recognized as 40 Under 40 in Southeast Texas

Katie Buhler, Entergy Texas region engineering supervisor, was recognized as one of the best and brightest young professionals in Southeast Texas by The Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce Division, the Southeast Texas Young Professional Organization and SoutheastTexas.com.

Buhler and fellow honorees were chosen for their academic achievements, professional success and community involvement.

"There are a lot of things I love about my job and career," said Buhler. "I’ve been with Entergy for almost 12 years. In my current position, I love that I am helping employees in my department become better at what they do. I think it’s important that we train people to be the best they can be, and I find it very rewarding when I can accomplish this task.”

"As the power company for the area, I love that we help people,” she said. “Entergy’s vision is ‘We power life.’ It’s crucial to remember that what we do every day affects so many people. Not only do I get to share what I know at work, but I also have opportunities to share my love of engineering with my Girl Scout troop. It’s important for me to do a great job for Entergy and give back to the community.”
