Open the door to savings and free energy-efficient products

09/19/2024

A home energy assessment is the first step to understanding how your home wastes energy. Rather than focusing on a single problem – like an old heater or cooling system, insufficient attic insulation or leaky windows – the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® program offers a whole-house approach to improve your home’s energy efficiency. Depending on the improvements you choose, you could save up to 20% or more on your annual utility bill, which means you’ll have extra money to put toward what matters most to you.

Here’s how it works

  1. Schedule an appointment. Call 504-229-6868 or click here to schedule online.
  2. During your 60- to 90-minute free assessment, an Energy Smart energy advisor will:
    • Complete a walk-through of your home, looking for areas where your home is wasting energy.
    • Install FREE energy-efficient products to help you start saving immediately, which may include:

Rebates and energy-saving products installed are dependent upon Entergy account type, eligibility and assessment results.

    • Provide recommendations for additional energy-saving home improvements to help you save in the future, such as:
      • Sealing air leaks and ductwork
      • Increasing attic insulation levels
      • Tuning up your air conditioning system
    • Review your personalized home energy report and answer questions to help you determine the next steps in making your home more efficient and comfortable.
  3. After your assessment, we’ll work with an Energy Smart trade ally to schedule any energy-saving recommendations you choose.
  4. You’ll receive instant rebates from Energy Smart to lower or cover any additional cost. You may also be eligible for additional federal rebates. Learn more.
  5. Enjoy energy savings and better comfort in your home.
