A Rising Star of Safety
10/05/2018
Every year, the National Safety Council presents the Rising Stars of Safety Award to the next generation of safety leaders younger than 40 who show a dedication to safety leadership at work. Philip Pickle, senior safety specialist in power generation, joins 37 of his industry peers as a 2018 recipient.
Pickle’s coworkers describe him as a dedicated and personable safety professional who utilizes his critical thinking skills, questioning attitude and eagerness to continuously look for areas of improvement to improve behaviors and working conditions.
“His recent efforts leading a team that developed internal criteria for confined space/high angle rescue teams within power generation is a perfect example of his dedication to safety,” said Senior Manager of Safety in power generation, Kim Knotts. “He demonstrates daily our core value of living a safe and healthy life, often asking, what more can we do?”
