Saints victory tops off great experience for Lineman of the Game
12/14/2023
As an Entergy Mississippi lineman, Ronnie Williams is accustomed to helping others. He helps keep electricity flowing for customers every day and has also participated in restoring power after storms such as Hurricane Laura, the Rolling Fork tornado, the Southaven ice storm and several thunderstorms in the state. He has an outstanding safety record and is committed to his personal safety and the safety of his co-workers. He also helps mentor younger linemen.
How helpful he is has not gone unnoticed. On Sunday, Williams was recognized as the Saints’ Lineman of the Game as the New Orleans Saints took on the Carolina Panthers at the Superdome. The black and gold carpet was rolled out for Williams in appreciation for his hard work, dedication, commitment to safety and ability to overcome challenge.
The Greenville native and former football player enjoyed a VIP experience that included pre-game activities, including a pre-game brunch and on-field access to watch the Saints warm up before the game, along with tickets to New Orleans Saints’ game against the Carolina Panthers. Prior to the game, Williams was recognized as Entergy’s Lineman of the Game and featured on the jumbotron “flipping the switch” to bring the lights on in the superdome. The day wrapped up with the New Orleans Saints’ win over the Carolina Panthers, 28-6.
When not working for Entergy Mississippi, Williams enjoys spending time with his family, fishing and working on construction projects. He also volunteers his time to activities in church and various community outreach programs in the town of Metcalfe. He has participated in The Power to Care and energy efficiency drives with the company.
Putting the needs of others first is what Ronnie Williams does every day, so it is only fitting that he enjoys a special day where his hard work and dedication is recognized and honored.
