As we welcome the new year, we reflect on our top 10 corporate social responsibility moments of 2021 and how our company and employees helped to create long-term, sustainable growth for the communities we serve – even in times of disaster.

  1. Entergy Named One of 50 Most Community-minded Companies
    For the sixth consecutive year, Entergy was recognized as one of the 50 most community-minded companies in the U.S. The Civic 50 provides a national standard for corporate citizenship and showcases how companies can use their time, skills and resources to impact their communities and company.

  2. Entergy Texas Contributes $650,000 to Nonprofits Following Winter Storm
    Entergy Texas committed $650,000 to help community nonprofits and qualifying customers impacted by the severe winter storm in February. The grants went directly to local nonprofits assisting low-income customers with emergency needs.

  3. Entergy Celebrates 20 Years of Recognition as a Leader in Sustainability
    Entergy earned a place on the Dow Jones Sustainability Index North America for the 20th consecutive year. The DJSI is one of the most prestigious environmental, social and governance rankings for corporate responsibility and sustainability performance.

  4. Entergy Commits $1.25M to Help Louisiana Communities Recover from Hurricane Ida
    Entergy made a $1.25 million commitment in shareholder contributions to help nonprofit partners provide disaster relief and assistance with rebuilding and recovery.

  5. Entergy Named to 100 Best Corporate Citizens Ranking
    3BL Media named Entergy one of the top 100 Best Corporate Citizens, recognizing outstanding environmental, social and governance transparency and performance among the 1,000 largest, U.S. public companies. This is the 11th year Entergy has been included in this prestigious ranking since 2007.

  6. Entergy New Orleans Helps Support Healthy Communities
    Entergy New Orleans joined the United Way of Southeast Louisiana, the GNO Foundation and other funders in contributing $150,000 to support Mayor LaToya Cantrell and NOLA Public School's initiative to provide high school students, who have parental or guardian consent, the opportunity to receive COVID-19 vaccinations on campus.

  7. Entergy's Economic Opportunity and Empowerment Program Recognized by U.S. Chamber Foundation
    Entergy was awarded the Best Economic Opportunity and Empowerment Program for its outreach efforts to communicate with low-income customers about resources and assistance available to pay their utility bills in response to the challenges communities faced in 2020.

  8. Entergy Shareholders Create Cleaner Communities Through $1M in Environmental Grants
    Entergy's shareholders are helping protect the environment by contributing more than $1 million to partnering organizations through the company's Environmental Initiatives Fund. These grants mark the 21st consecutive year that Entergy has earmarked funds at this scale to support the work of these important local drivers of needed environmental progress.

  9. Entergy Named Top Supporter of HBCU Engineering Programs
    US Black Engineer & Information Technology magazine named Entergy one of the top 20 industry supporters of historically Black colleges and universities' engineering schools. Entergy is the only utility company in this year's top 20 list. Entergy has contributed more than $7.4 million to HBCUs in the company's service area.

  10. Entergy Provides Laptops to Students in Need
    Entergy donated more than 460 refurbished laptops this summer to school districts in our service territory to help bridge the digital divide and ensure students have the technology they need to succeed.
