Entergy Arkansas Partners with The Muses for Oct. 24
10/22/2014
HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – Ever wonder what it's like to blow a trombone, paint a canvas or feel an improvisational beat as they're created? Entergy Arkansas, Inc. has partnered with the The Muses Project of Hot Springs to produce and present "Inspiration Collaboration," an interactive event that invites the audience, through collaboration and "birds-eye view" fun, to join visual artists, improvisational musicians, creative writers and dancers in the creative process itself as new works of art are created.
"The Muses Project is a wonderful cultural resource for our town," said Greg Asbell, Entergy Arkansas customer service representative in Hot Springs. "Supporting ‘Inspiration Collaboration' with a $2,500 grant is a critical way Entergy Arkansas can give back to our customers and our community by investing in the arts, Asbell said. "Hot Springs has a rich history and exciting future and any visitor who has a chance to experience ‘Inspiration Collaboration' will see our town is thriving," said Asbell, who serves on the 2014 Greater Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
Several professional musicians, five well known Arkansas visual artists, writers, and a professional dancer will inspire, entertain and educate the audience. To see how the event unfolds, click here.
"We are excited to share this aspect of The Muses with the public, as it gives another avenue of access for exposure to impressive and inspiring professional artistic talent and creativity, right here in Hot Springs," said The Muses General Director Deleen Davidson. "We are honored to have Entergy Arkansas' trust and support."
"Inspiration Collaboration" will be held at the Muses Cultural Arts Center, 428 Orange St. on Friday October 24 from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at a cost of $15 at the door. Wine and refreshments will be provided and all visual artwork created at the event will be available for purchase. Students (with I.D.) may attend free of charge.
