Entergy Names Jim Sinclair to Nuclear Communications Role

NEW ORLEANS – Jim Sinclair has been named manager of communications for Entergy Corporation's nuclear power plants in Vermont and Massachusetts.
Sinclair will lead the nuclear communications function for Entergy's Vermont Yankee Station in Vernon, Vt., and Pilgrim Power Station in Plymouth, Mass. He will join the company effective Aug. 6, reporting to Terry Young, vice president, nuclear communications.
"We are pleased to welcome Jim back to the northeast, where he began his career," Young said. "He served in key roles at Vermont Yankee for nearly 20 years, and he is very familiar with the region and its stakeholders. His extensive energy industry experience will be a significant benefit to the Entergy nuclear communications team."
Sinclair began his career at Vermont Yankee in 1979, and served as director of public affairs there from 1988 to 1998. He left Vermont Yankee to become director of public affairs for ISO New England, where he was chief spokesperson and responsible for government and regulatory affairs activities at the state, regional and federal levels. He then joined El Paso Corp. as director of public affairs, northeast, and later became operations director of El Paso's northern division. Since 2011, Sinclair has served as division director of LNG Operations for El Paso and most recently Kinder Morgan, responsible for the operation of the LNG import terminals in Georgia and Mississippi.
Sinclair earned a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and a master of public administration degree from Boston University.
