Experienced leaders will enhance Entergy’s stakeholder engagement and support infrastructure resiliency
NEW ORLEANS – Entergy today announced that Jason Reynolds has been named vice president of federal infrastructure policy and Leroy Nix has been named vice president of strategic policy and stakeholder engagement. They will report to John Hudson, senior vice president, federal policy, regulatory and government affairs, effective Oct. 3.
“These two additions to the team will enhance and expand our external affairs capabilities as we broaden and deepen our stakeholder engagement process and strengthen our commitment to secure federal support and resources to improve infrastructure resiliency for our customers,” said Hudson.
Based in The Woodlands, Texas, Reynolds will build a team to help manage the company’s efforts to secure federal and other publicly available funds for electric infrastructure and resilience. Nix’s team in Washington, D.C. will work closely with the federal government affairs group, Entergy’s operating companies and the customer organization to design engagement strategies that yield positive results for all our stakeholders.
Reynolds’ most recent role as vice president of system planning and operations has provided extensive experience with the grid infrastructure necessary to meet future energy demand in the communities we serve. He also previously served as the vice president of NERC compliance.
Prior to joining Entergy, Reynolds was responsible for environmental affairs at Southern Company, where he developed strategies to address national regulatory and legislative issues affecting the company on air and climate, land and water, and natural resources and stewardship.
His utility career began with Georgia Power, a Southern Company, working in environmental affairs. He went on to hold several leadership positions with Georgia Power, Southern Nuclear and Southern Company – spanning compliance, external affairs, federal policy and environmental programs.
Reynolds has a bachelor’s degree in biology from Jacksonville State University and an MBA from Troy University.
Nix joins Entergy from Southern Company Gas where he served as the director of market strategy and was responsible for developing growth strategies in regulated jurisdictions. He previously served as director of federal government affairs in Southern Company’s Washington, D.C. office, where he worked with national elected officials, community leaders and stakeholder groups on issues related to energy and environmental policy. He also previously served in various leadership roles at Alabama Power Company.
Nix began his career in government and politics, serving as an aide in the U.S. Senate and working on national political campaigns across the country, including U.S. presidential, House and Senate races.
Nix has a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Montevallo and a law degree from the University of Alabama School of Law. He is also a University of Chicago Booth School Impact Fellow and is a member of the Blackburn Leadership Institute. He is a board member for the University of Montevallo, Renasant Bank, Cloud for Utilities and the Auditorium Theater.
