Entergy Arkansas storm update – 8/20/24, 5 p.m.

08/20/2024

Power has been restored to nearly all Entergy Arkansas customers impacted by this week’s storms. Multiple fronts caused widespread outages across the state. Since the peak outage count of 39,370 during the evening of Aug. 18, Entergy Arkansas has successfully restored power to 99% of customers impacted.

Damages include 141 utility poles, 555 spans of downed power lines and 48 transformers.

As crews continue to clear debris and restore power in hard-hit areas, it is possible that a few customers in the Russellville, Dardanelle and Hot Springs areas could see their power restored Wednesday. Estimated restoration times for these specific customers is reflected on the outage map. Customers are encouraged to visit entergy.com/viewoutages for the latest restoration times for their specific location.

Entergy Arkansas would like to extend a sincere thanks to the men and women who worked around the clock to safely restore power. Restoring your power as quickly and safely as possible is our top priority, and we appreciate your patience.

Consistent with our commitment to powering life for our customers every day, our crews are rebuilding the system with thicker, stronger poles. In some cases, concrete poles are being used to improve system infrastructure and make it more resilient.

Thank you for being our valued Entergy Arkansas customer.
