Entergy Mississippi Completes Restoration From Latest Storm

Entergy Mississippi has restored power to all customers affected by a line of severe thunderstorms that caused 26,836 customer outages on Thursday, April 23. This is the third storm in two weeks to strike and cause widespread damage in our service areas. Since Easter Sunday, our crews have restored service to more than 72,500 customers who lost power as a result of the three severe weather events. Total damage amounted to more than 500 broken poles, 1,250 spans of wire down, and damage to 130 transformers.
All customers who can safely accept electrical service have been restored. If you are still without power, you should check for damage to the electrical equipment attached to your home or business. If your electric meter or the wiring is damaged, contact an electrician to make repairs. If your electric equipment appears undamaged, call 1-800-9OUTAGE, 1-800-968-8243.
