At its peak, the storm caused 10,000 outages throughout the New Orleans area. In addition to Entergy New Orleans’ base restoration crews, we had approximately 150 additional crew members helping to restore power. Assessments include 30 poles down and 12 transformers damaged as a result of the severe weather.
While crews continue making progress restoring power to customers affected by Hurricane Laura, Entergy is also preparing for the potential impacts in the coming days of Tropical Storm Sally, which is forecast to move into the Gulf of Mexico. We encourage customers to prepare, too.
As of 6 p.m., power has been restored to approximately 93% of the customers who lost power as a result of these storms and 3,500 customers remain without power in the heaviest hit areas near El Dorado and Magnolia.

The storm caused more than 6,500 outages in the Stuttgart area leaving 95% of the customers in the area without power. Damage assessment is underway and dozens of broken poles have been identified.
