Lineworkers are like celebrities when they roll in to restore power after a storm. In neighborhoods or on a lonely country road, there’s always someone who wants to say thanks, shake hands, offer a meal or ask for help. Hurricane Ida was no different.

Like most things these days, the material costs related to generating and delivering your power have gone up recently. While our customer rates are still below the U.S. average, Entergy Mississippi is taking real action to keep this and other inflationary business cost increases from making your power bill unaffordable.

Grants provided funding and support for broad-based initiatives ranging from disaster relief, education, workforce development, poverty solutions, the arts and community improvements in regions served by Entergy in Arkansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, New York and Texas.

Tractor Supply Company (TSC) announced in January it will soon locate a $100 million distribution center for home goods and equipment for farms and families in Maumelle where four-wheelers once rolled through a rugged wooded parcel north of the city’s industrial park.

As of 8 a.m., crews and resources were working to restore outages to the remaining 1,000 customers as quickly and as safely as possible.

As of 4 p.m., statewide outages have been reduced to 3,540 customers. Over 86,000 customer outages have been restored, totaling 95% of customers who experienced an outage in the last few days.
