Jeff Lanum, a technical specialist for Entergy Nuclear, believes in the power of robotics. For nearly 15 years, his robotics leadership has helped strengthen STEM education in Mississippi and encouraged students to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and math fields.
Rainy weather did not stop Entergy’s information technology and grid modernization employees from volunteering at one of the company’s biggest service projects with NOLA Tree Project.

Like the rest of the country, Mississippi is enjoying record low unemployment. But that can be a double-edged sword. With fewer people searching for jobs, companies looking to hire often find a gap between the quality of worker they need and the quality of those who apply.
