With automobile manufacturers introducing new options for electric vehicles, many consumers are giving them another look. As you make decisions about your next family vehicle, it can be difficult to know the true costs of charging an electric car versus filling up a traditional tank.
Entergy has long partnered with the LSU College of Engineering to development the workforce of the future, and now, the company has partnered with them to further studies around electrification. Engineering students and members of the school’s TigerRacing team are designing and building an electric vehicle, in part, through a grant provided by Entergy.

The new Entergy PEV fleet consists of seven PEVs – two Nissan Leafs and five Chevy Volts. Each of Entergy's operating companies will determine the best use of their vehicles and will be able to showcase them at public events to help build awareness.
