As of 6 p.m., we have restored nearly 155,000 customers. We anticipate the vast majority of customers in New Orleans Parish who can safely accept power will be restored by late evening Sept. 8. Customers in the hardest hit areas along Chef Menteur Highway east of Chef Pass are estimated to be restored by Sept. 29 if they are able to receive power.
As of Noon, we have restored nearly 150,000 customers, including all of hospitals, and a number of grocery stores, pharmacies, gas stations, hotels and restaurants. We also continue to restore residential neighborhoods.
Our workforce has restored 60% of the 948,000 total customers who lost power. As of 5 a.m., 60%, or 571,000, had been restored.
Just eight days after being struck by one of the most destructive hurricanes to ever hit the United States, more than half of the 902,000 total customers who lost power have been restored. As of 4 p.m. today 465,000, had been restored.
