Our restoration workers have restored nearly 60% of the electrical power outages caused by Hurricane Laura.

At the height of the storm, approximately 270,000 Louisiana customers were without power. As of 9 a.m. Sunday, approximately 174,000 customers remain without power.

Entergy Texas continues to make great progress restoring power since Hurricane Laura hit the shores of Texas and Louisiana. 

Damage assessments have identified a total of 252 broken poles, 328 damaged pieces of equipment and over 694 spans of downed wire across the state still needing to be repaired.

Significant restoration progress has been made outside of the hardest-hit areas.

Power must be first restored to transmission lines and substations in order to energize the distribution lines that bring power into neighborhoods, businesses and homes.

Restoration work is well underway in Jefferson Davis Parish after Hurricane Laura brought heavy rain and high winds that knocked down trees and utility poles — and in some cases, trees onto power lines.
