Like a baseball farm system, Lamar Institute of Technology’s (LIT) utility line technology program is preparing graduates for the big leagues. And, for some graduates, the big league is a line crew at Entergy Texas. For years, LIT developed future Entergy employees by preparing students to work in the power line industry as apprentice linemen.
It’s a given that Entergy employees don’t drink and drive while on the job. Since safety is a 24/7 concern, the Conway office thought it would be a good idea to put on some beer goggles – literally – for an on-the-clock reminder of the hazards of being impaired by alcohol.
Entergy Louisiana’s Byron Grabert is in for a holiday treat this Thanksgiving weekend! The senior lineman is being honored as the Entergy Lineman of the Game at halftime of Sunday’s Saints game against the Los Angeles Rams.
The New Orleans Saints honored Entergy Louisiana senior lineman Kevin Modica of Bastrop as Lineman of the Game on Oct. 16.
