Crews are gearing up for Winter Storm Landon
Winter Storm Landon is quickly approaching Arkansas, bringing with it damaging freezing rain, snow, sleet and ice. Entergy Arkansas is mobilizing crews to be ready to respond as soon as it is safe to do so.
Our workforce is ready to respond to outages due to a winter storm predicted to affect parts of our service area in Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi. Customers should prepare as well.
The company is monitoring the weather, and customers should too.
Just over 2,000 Entergy Arkansas customers remain without power following a winter storm Saturday. This is down from 6,194 outages at the peak at 4 p.m. yesterday.
Heavy, wet snow is bringing trees down onto power lines, and additional snowfall and icy conditions are making travel treacherous through the northern parts of Arkansas.
The majority of customers who can take power from the severe storms and tornadoes Friday night have been restored.
