The third year of Christmas in July wrapped up this fall, with totals topping organizers’ expectations. This year, the charitable campaign extended beyond Entergy nuclear to include all of the company.
Entergy gives back to our communities
Entergy New Orleans hosted its annual golf tournament at English Turn Golf & Country Club, raising approximately $150,000 for Entergy’s The Power to Care program, which is administered by the New Orleans Council on Aging. Entergy New Orleans employees, community members and corporate partners formed 41 teams to compete in an 18-hole scramble.
The company has awarded $150,000 to Refill Jackson Initiative for their Refill Jackson Green Corps program, a new workforce training AmeriCorps program for young adults.
Entergy was recognized this year as one of the top 25 workplace giving contributors for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, donating more than $230,000 through the company’s employee payroll contributions across its service areas.

The event brought together local members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies to construct a home for an inspiring family in the Lower Ninth Ward neighborhood.
