Nearly half of Christmas tree fires involve lighting
Festive decorations are appearing across Southeast Texas, and Entergy Texas wants customers to make sure their holidays are safe and bright.
As heavy rains and flash flooding soak Southeast Texas this week, Entergy Texas is also closely monitoring a tropical system near the Yucatan Peninsula that is predicted to land somewhere on the Texas coast.
Company has taken specific steps to prepare
Even before the clouds passed, the rain ended and the final power outage was restored, Entergy employees came together to plan. First, Entergy worked to help customers and employees rebuild stronger communities. Entergy employees also worked to rebuild a stronger electric system. In the past year, Entergy Texas has taken steps to protect electric infrastructure, and improve restoration efforts following extreme weather.
