Entergy Mississippi continues to restore power after severe weather swept through our service territory yesterday. At 6:45 p.m., about 11,000 customers remain without power. See additional restoration information by county below and check our View Outages map for the latest updates.
Entergy has brought in approximately 300 employees and contractors to help in the restoration effort from storms that devastated the Entergy Texas service area. At 4 p.m., approximately 6,000 customers are without power. Crews are restoring power as safely and quickly as possible.
Tornadoes, along with high winds and severe thunderstorms, moved through the Entergy Mississippi service area causing numerous outages. Additional crews are being brought in to help with the restoration effort. As of Sunday at noon, the customer outage count was 21,284. Updated information about outages, damage assessment and estimated restoration time will be updated later today, Sunday, April 14.
Entergy Texas, Inc. is responding to damage from numerous storms, including a reported tornado around 11 a.m. in the Franklin area of Robertson County that has knocked out a major transmission line and brought down numerous electrical lines.
Spring can be warm and wonderful, but the change in seasons can also be wild and wooly. The official arrival of Spring also ushers in a host of potentially extreme weather that can bring high winds, lightning, hail and even tornadoes. All these things can cause power outages and bring down power lines.

Entergy Corporation has received its 30th Emergency Response Award from the Edison Electric Institute for its exceptional assistance in restoring power to citizens following Hurricane Florence in September 2018.
The potential for wet snow and ice in parts of Arkansas and northern regions of Louisiana and Mississippi has Entergy crews completing winter weather preparations. We encourage our customers to also implement their winter weather family plans.
