Crews have restored power to more than 85% of the approximately 40,000 Louisiana customers who lost electricity after severe thunderstorms swept across the state Thursday.
As part of its ongoing efforts to help customers with the greatest need, Entergy Arkansas announced Wednesday a $50,000 donation to the Arkansas Community Action Agencies Association, which manages the federally funded Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program from 14 locations across the state that covers 74 counties. The dollars will be used to purchase personal protection equipment, plexiglass or other contact barriers, office equipment and other supplies that will expedite processing for customers, who are anticipated by Entergy Arkansas to qualify and participate at greater numbers due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Board of Directors of Entergy Texas, Inc. has declared a quarterly dividend of $0.34 per share of preferred stock.
Entergy is in a constant state of modernizing its system, including the power plants that generate electricity. One noteworthy next step is that Entergy Arkansas is demolishing the retired Hamilton Moses power plant near Forrest City.
