Entergy Corporation and the Entergy Charitable Foundation awarded $4 million in contributions to nonprofit organizations during the fourth quarter of 2020, bringing total shareholder-funded contributions for the year to $18.9 million.
Third quarter grants included $2.7 million to fund disaster relief efforts, educational programs and economic development.
Expanding workforce training and readiness programs in Mississippi, Arkansas and Louisiana is the purpose of a new $250,000 grant to Jobs for America’s Graduates from Entergy Corporation.
Entergy Corp. has partnered with the national American Red Cross in a providing a $450,000 contribution that will be paid out over two years and that will support disaster response in Entergy communities. By making the contribution in advance of disaster, should the need arise, funds will be immediately available to areas served by Entergy, including Entergy Texas, Inc.
Company Also Offers to Match Employee Donations Up to $20,000
More than 50 nonprofit groups will receive nearly $800,000 in grants from the Entergy Charitable Foundation.
