Entergy Louisiana is expanding a substation in Ponchatoula along Highway 22 to improve the electric system that serves approximately 18,000 residential and business customers in the area, including a local hospital.

The proposal benefits customers, supports growth in Southeast Texas and helps strengthen the state’s economy.
The project will increase reliability in the area and is expected to be completed by December 2024.
