Selected recipients will receive a $5,000 award, with up to 20 scholarships available.

Entergy is pleased to serve as a platinum sponsor of the 51st Bayou Classic, an annual event that celebrates the rich heritage and legacy of America's Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Entergy has a longstanding commitment to powering life for its customers and communities.

Jackson State University is the recipient of a $2 million grant from the Entergy Charitable Foundation to help fund the creation of the Critical Power Grid Network Security Lab. During a press conference at the University on Monday, Oct. 7, Entergy officials presented JSU President Marcus Thompson, Ph.D., with a big check to celebrate the occasion.

Over the next decade, HBCU students will be equipped with tools for success through education, career and workforce development programs.

The Power of Prosperity is a new partnership between Entergy, Single Stop and Stackwell to support Historically Black College and University students to ensure their success and position them to build generational wealth.
