Entergy Arkansas' 20th annual The Power to Care Charity Golf Classic recently raised more than $126,000 to help older and disabled customers pay their electric bills. These funds will be matched one-to-one by Entergy shareholders to total more than a quarter million dollars in assistance available to customers in Arkansas this winter.
Year after year, the Beat the Heat program provides our customers with energy bill assistance, tools and resources, and support during the critical summer months.
With soaring high temperatures this summer, Entergy donated $3 million to help its low-income customers become more energy efficient and save money on their energy bills. Through Entergy’s “Beat the Heat” program, customers received bill payment assistance, fans, energy efficiency kits, home weatherization and invaluable support from local community partners.
Extreme heat can increase electricity use and costs, and the past two summers have brought record-level temperatures and higher electricity usage by our customers. Entergy Arkansas is committed to helping our customers stay cool and save money this summer with a variety of bill management tools and customer assistance resources.
Tracking electricity usage over time can help customers identify habits that contribute to higher usage and budget their monthly expenses. With their myAdvisor dashboard, customers have access to usage and cost details, bill history, bill projections and analyzer tools and more.
As hot summer temperatures return throughout the state, Entergy Arkansas is taking action to help customers save money and manage their utility bills. For our customers in the Little Rock area, we will be hosting an in-person event on July 18, in partnership with local community advocate organization The Watershed. The event will be 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at 3701 Springer Boulevard in Little Rock.
