Entergy New Orleans seeks The New Orleans City Council’s approval to issue $150,000,000 in securitized bonds to replenish the Company’s storm reserve, which was fully depleted following Hurricane Ida restoration efforts.
As of 8 a.m., crews and resources were working to restore outages to the remaining 1,000 customers as quickly and as safely as possible.
As of 4 p.m., statewide outages have been reduced to 3,540 customers. Over 86,000 customer outages have been restored, totaling 95% of customers who experienced an outage in the last few days.
The remaining customers without power are in the hardest-hit areas of Forrest City, Marion, Stuttgart, Harrisburg and Blytheville.
Statewide outages from this week's severe winter weather have been reduced to approximately 6,420 customers Saturday evening, from a Wednesday peak of 30K.
Freezing rain is falling in the southern part of the state, but the majority of outages from the winter storms should be restored this weekend.
While the peak from this week’s winter storms was 30,087 customer outages, Entergy Arkansas has restored more than 59,000 customers to service.
The line of severe winter weather that brought freezing rain and ice accumulations exited the state last night, and power restoration continues.
