After 10 days of restoration work following Hurricane Ida’s path of destruction, Entergy New Orleans and Entergy Louisiana employees have restored power to 90% of customers in the greater New Orleans and Greater Baton Rouge areas. These areas include Ascension, Iberville, East and West Bank of Jefferson and Orleans parishes.
Crews continue to make significant progress restoring power following Hurricane Ida. Statewide, 692,000 of the 902,000 customers who lost power due to Hurricane Ida are back on.
We anticipate the vast majority of customers in New Orleans Parish who can safely accept power will be restored by late evening Sept. 8. While power restoration continues, customers may see that their neighbors have power restored before they do. That could mean that each customer is served by two different parts of the electric grid.
As of 10:30 a.m., we have restored nearly 170,000 customers. We anticipate the vast majority of customers in New Orleans Parish who can safely accept power will be restored by late evening Sept. 8. Customers in the hardest hit areas along Chef Menteur Highway east of Chef Pass are estimated to be restored by Sept. 29 if they are able to receive power.
Our workforce has restored nearly 70% or 646,000 of the 948,000 total customers who lost power.
As of 6 p.m., we have restored nearly 155,000 customers. We anticipate the vast majority of customers in New Orleans Parish who can safely accept power will be restored by late evening Sept. 8. Customers in the hardest hit areas along Chef Menteur Highway east of Chef Pass are estimated to be restored by Sept. 29 if they are able to receive power.
