Action Taken as Directed by MISO Due to Increased Demand, Loss of Generation
Approximately 1,600 customers remained without power Sunday evening after about 7,000 were disrupted earlier in the day as winter weather blew across the state. Forecasts call for even more extreme temperatures, sleet, and snow this week, with an unprecedented demand for electricity likely.
Extreme cold is expected over the next few days resulting in high electricity demand.
Our restoration workforce is ready to respond to potential outages due to a series of winter storms predicted to affect our service territory. Customers should prepare as well.
Entergy Louisiana crews are on standby across the state as the utility prepares for snow, ice and freezing temperatures statewide beginning tonight and into the week.
The extreme cold temperatures are creating high demand for electricity over the next few days.
About 1,400 workers will be assisting Entergy Arkansas in power restoration with the incoming winter storms moving across the state. If you lose power, please help us by turning off your appliances and heating units, so we can more quickly get the power restored to everybody.
