Yesterday's sever weather impacted most of northern Louisiana. As of 8 a.m. today, approximately 3,660 North Louisiana customers remain without power. There is the potential for more outages as forecasts indicate possibly more severe weather throughout the remainder of the week.
A line of severe thunderstorms packing strong winds, heavy rains and lightning struck Louisiana Monday, knocking out power to more than 37,500 customers at its peak. The storms hit North Louisiana the hardest. As of 6 p.m. Monday, June 24, approximately 5,950 customers in northern Louisiana remain without power.
Entergy Mississippi has restored service to more than 10,100 customers who lost power during last week’s storms.
Severe thunderstorms and high winds moved through the Entergy Mississippi territory, Thursday morning, June 20, causing numerous outages which peaked at 10,164 customers. Damage assessment continues, and additional resources have been brought in to assist in the restoration effort. As of 9 a.m., Friday, June 21, 8,063 customers have been restored. We will continue to work to restore power to the remaining 2,101 customers.
