A quick but mighty microcell thunderstorm blew through Little Rock this afternoon, bringing 70-80 mph wind gusts and causing widespread damage in many of the areas of West Little Rock.

We are continually monitoring the increased risk of wildfires caused by these highly unusual weather conditions.

This September we focus is preparing and educating older adults for disasters, who often have additional medical, dietary and/or transportation needs and considerations.

With continued high temperatures expected in the coming days across parts of our service area, we ask customers to join us in taking every precaution to remain safe from the extreme heat and follow any local or state orders, like full or partial burn bans.

While Entergy Mississippi focused on getting 300,000 customers back online, it also helped employees displaced by floods and devastation in New Orleans and neighboring areas, many of whom relocated to Jackson and were able to work in temporary offices.
