Entergy sponsored the 2nd Annual New Orleans Association of Black Journalists Jazz Brunch and Silent Auction, supporting the organization’s scholarship fund. The event honored two local veteran journalists and awarded two scholarships named in their honor: the Nancy Parker Memorial Scholarship awarded to TaShia Hogue, and the William “Bill” Rousselle Memorial Scholarship awarded to Kennedy Wells. These scholarships will assist the recipients in furthering their education.

As we celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month, Entergy proudly recognizes the invaluable contributions and rich experiences of Latinos, integral to our nation’s history and culture. Throughout this month, Entergy has collaborated with key Hispanic partners and community leaders to uplift Latino voices and strengthen Hispanic communities across the country.  

Poverty is a reality for many individuals and families. But unless one has experienced poverty, it’s difficult to truly understand. Recognizing this, Entergy’s low-income initiatives team recently organized poverty simulations aimed at providing our employees with a firsthand understanding of the struggles faced by customers across our company's service areas.

We’re continuing our longstanding support of Historically Black Colleges and Universities with a 10-year, $20 million commitment to empower these institutions and their students.

For the third consecutive year, Entergy served as the presenting sponsor of the New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity’s 3rd Annual Pride Build. The event brought together local members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies to construct a home for an inspiring family in the Lower Ninth Ward neighborhood.

During a special event held at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Entergy partnered with the American Indian College Fund, or AICF, to award a grant in support of higher education for Native American students.

Entergy was the presenting sponsor for the Bayou Regional FIRST Robotics Competition held in Kenner, Louisiana. This week-long event is an annual celebration of science, technology, engineering and math that plays a crucial role in shaping the future of our youth.
