Vote shows bipartisan support for language clarifying Mississippi Public Service Commission as first forum for claims against utilities
In cooperation with the Mississippi Public Service Commission, Entergy Mississippi, Inc. today filed its preliminary plan for implementing tax reform. The formal plan will be filed in mid-March as part of the company’s annual rate filing.
Entergy Corporation reported a fourth quarter 2017 loss per share of $(2.66) on an as-reported basis and earnings per share of 76 cents on an operational basis (non-GAAP), which excludes the effects of special items. Entergy Mississippi, Inc. today praised the members of the Mississippi House Public Utilities Committee for the passage of Senate Bill 2295. The bill, which reauthorizes the Mississippi Public Service Commission, includes “fairness language” which clarifies that the MPSC is the proper forum to first address state law claims against electric utilities. The bill has already passed the Mississippi Senate 51-1.
