About 24 hours after Entergy Mississippi restored power to all customers affected by the weekend storms, more severe weather struck. Thunderstorms and heavy rains swept through much of our service territory and multiple tornado warnings were in effect over the afternoon. As of 5 p.m., about 25,000 customers were without power as a result of the latest round of storms, most of which are in Hinds County.
To offer customers the opportunity to discuss their outage directly with Entergy Mississippi representatives and provide other services, the company has opened a Customer Information Center at the Outlets of Vicksburg outlet mall.
Entergy Louisiana workers expect to have power restored to all customers who can accept it by Monday afternoon.

Entergy Louisiana crews continued Sunday repairing damage and restoring power to customers affected by Saturday’s violent storm system.
Entergy has brought in approximately 300 employees and contractors to help in the restoration effort from storms that devastated the Entergy Texas service area. At 4 p.m., approximately 6,000 customers are without power. Crews are restoring power as safely and quickly as possible.
Tornadoes, along with high winds and severe thunderstorms, moved through the Entergy Mississippi service area causing numerous outages. Additional crews are being brought in to help with the restoration effort. As of Sunday at noon, the customer outage count was 21,284. Updated information about outages, damage assessment and estimated restoration time will be updated later today, Sunday, April 14.
