Just eight days after being struck by one of the most destructive hurricanes to ever hit the United States, more than half of the 948,000 total customers who lost power have been restored. As of 6 a.m. today, 54%, or 513,000, had been restored.

Approximately 42% of customers across the state, up from 39% earlier in the day, have had power restored. Entergy and its team of 26,000 will continue restoration where it is safe to do so and where power can be received, with most customers expected to be restored Wednesday, Sept. 8.

Seven days after Hurricane Ida made landfall, as of 3:45 p.m., Entergy has restored 443,000, or 47% of the 948,000 customers who lost power due to the storm.

One week after landfall, Entergy has restored power to 395,000 Entergy Louisiana and Entergy New Orleans customers, down from a peak of just over 900,000.
