Utility crews have restored power to all New Orleans East customers affected by Tuesday’s severe weather and expect to restore power to Arabi-area customers who can safely accept electric service by sometime today.

Lineworkers are like celebrities when they roll in to restore power after a storm. In neighborhoods or on a lonely country road, there’s always someone who wants to say thanks, shake hands, offer a meal or ask for help. Hurricane Ida was no different.
As of 8 a.m., crews and resources were working to restore outages to the remaining 1,000 customers as quickly and as safely as possible.
As of 4 p.m., statewide outages have been reduced to 3,540 customers. Over 86,000 customer outages have been restored, totaling 95% of customers who experienced an outage in the last few days.
The remaining customers without power are in the hardest-hit areas of Forrest City, Marion, Stuttgart, Harrisburg and Blytheville.
