Entergy Crews Complete Restoration from March 4 Storm

On Saturday, March 7, Entergy Mississippi completed restoration efforts related to severe weather earlier in the week. The storm damaged our equipment and caused power outages for more than 15,000 customers on Wednesday, March 4. Customers who can safely take power have been restored.

As of 6 p.m., Entergy Mississippi has restored power to more than 12,600 customers affected by storms that struck our service area on Wednesday and Thursday. About 2,926 customers remain without power, down from a peak of 15,560.

Entergy Mississippi Crews are Working to Restore Power After Overnight Storms

A line of severe thunderstorms with strong winds passed through Entergy Mississippi’s service territory March 4, causing power outages for about 15,000 customers. The hardest-hit area is Madison County where as of 10:30 a.m., about 10,200 customers remain without power, down from a peak of 14,000. Our crews are assessing damage and restoring service as quickly and safely as possible. The Flora substation is out due to a fallen tree. We are bringing in additional resources to assist with the restoration effort. Check View Outages for the latest outage numbers and estimated restoration times in your area.

Pearl River Flood Update – Wednesday, Feb. 26

Flood waters along the Pearl River have receded and Entergy Mississippi has completed restoration for customers who are able to receive electrical service. While Pearl River flooding threats have subsided, Mississippi River water levels are rising. We have disconnected service to some customers affected by those conditions for public safety and to comply with the National Electric Safety Code. Our crews continue to inspect equipment related to both situations. We remain focused on working safely to restore service when customers can safely take power.

Pearl River Flood Update – Wednesday, Feb. 19

As flood waters in the Jackson metro area have begun to recede, we continue to focus on maintaining safety for our customers. Crews are inspecting our equipment and meters impacted by the flood in hopes of restoring customers that can take service. We expect this to take several days to complete.
